Rh Panjang Sg Usop Nanga Skroh is an iban longhouse located at the upriver in Kanowit Sibu, Sarawak. The long house consists of 32 doors and is filled with families and children that still goes to school and door consist of 6-8 family members. I came from Sg Poi Kanowit, and saw the kids put a smile on their face no matter what circumstances they have to face to get to school. Before there were paved roads, the kids had to go to school by sampan (small boat) and sometimes when it rained, they’ll get wet and their shoes are always wet because of the holes that enters the boat. Now that there are roads built up, some of the longhouses area have easier access to go to school.

 

However, coming from the upriver, it’s not easy for the families to have immediate access to proper basic necessities ie; rice, pampers, milk, proper clothes, school uniforms etc. With that I decided to lend a hand to help the people by raising funds for the people in Sg Poi Nanga Skroh by first helping the community in Rh Tuai Usop and hopefully the other parts of Nanga Skroh. With a simple amount of rm60 you can actually help a family with basic necessities, small or big whatever the amount you can give, it helps a child, a family, lessen their burden and put a smile on their faces.
